About Me

Joe’s professional singing career took off at full speed when, at 16, he was handpicked out of 3500 teenagers to join The Young Americans. International tours and network television appearances followed leading to a stint with The Kids Next Door, a recording with another vocal group and an invitation to be the featured group in Jim Nabors’ nightclub act.

It wasn’t long before Joe was invited to appear with Sally Struthers in her act, performing on the Jerry Lewis Telethon, Merv Griffin and Dinah Shore shows. In one of the highlights of Joe’s burgeoning career he was hired to sing with Mama Cass Elliott. In a devastating twist of fate, his only appearance with Miss Elliott, before her untimely death, was a two-week sellout run at the London Palladium. Joe recently had the honor of attending the dedication of Ms. Elliot’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Back from London, Joe was invited to join Ann-Margaret's act as a featured singer. Two years later, he joined Peter Marshall's group, Chapter Five, traveling the U.S. for six years, with appearances on major television shows, and a command performance for President Carter at the White House.

Joe’s career has run the gamut from high profile backers’ auditions in both NYC and Los Angeles to countless radio and television jingles. His voice can be heard on the theme song for Sally Struther's television series Gloria. He also has the distinction of singing for President and Mrs. Regan. Joe went on to produce his own highly successful group, The Caroling Company, appearing on Good Morning America, The Addams Family movie, and Scrooged starring Bill Murray. The Caroling Company had the honor of performing for many high profile celebrities including one of Joe’s heroes, Mel Torme`, inspiring him to release his highly touted CD titled, A Tribute to Mel Torme`.

Currently, Joe is developing a one-man-show based on his extraordinary experiences in the entertainment industry. He is also Musical Director and a member of the iconic Modernaires who were recently inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame. When not traveling internationally in song, Joe and his wife, celebrated photographer, Mary Ann Halpin, live in Palm Springs California.

You can catch Joe on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month at Woodhaven Country Club in Palm Desert.
